Optional Char-Guard Upgrade Char-Guard 24″ diameter (measured tine to tine) Round-Shaped Fire Grate for 30″ diameter or 30″ square (or larger) fire pit opening. Welded 5/8″ steel. Master Flame STANDARD Round Fire Grates round shape is ideal for outdoor campfires, fire pits or wood-burning fireplaces. Note: Grate should be at least 6″ in diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the fire pit / fire pit ring. Char Guard Option improves complete burn consistency, simplifies ash clean-up and allows you the choice of using charcoal. Char Guard is a heavy duty steel mesh fitted and welded to the underside of the grate. Standard Round Fire Grate with Char Guard made of welded 5/8″ steel bar stock with electrostatically applied high heat, weather-resistant black finish. Available in high grade carbon steel or all stainless steel.
